Christopher Howland joined Pacific Mercantile Bank’s Entertainment Group in our Century City Office in August 2017. Christopher has many years of experience in the entertainment finance industry. In his most recent role at American Entertainment Investors (AEI), Christopher held the position of VP, Film Finance & Distribution / Portfolio Manager of Ariel Film Partners (AEI's mezzanine film fund). Christopher began his career working in the talent agency business representing film and television actors and writers.
SVP/Business Development Officer
Zach Martin joined Pacific Mercantile Bank in our Costa Mesa Corporate Office in October 2015. Zach focuses on sponsor-backed consumer packaged goods companies, especially in the food and beverage industry, as well as industrial manufacturing. Prior to joining the Bank, Zach worked with Crestmark as VP, Business Development in Los Angeles. Earlier, Zach was VP, Business Development with Bibby Financial where he managed company expansion into Orange County and San Diego. Zach has also worked with GemCap Lending, Culver Capital Group and AgriCap Financial and was part of startups of two asset-management companies.

Rob Parks came to Pacific Mercantile Bank in October 2015. Before joining PMB, Rob was at Crestmark Bank and PNC Business Credit. Earlier, Rob co-founded Orion Capital and Bay View Financial, both leading regional asset-based lenders based in California, was the Regional Vice President for Textron Business Credit, and Director of Business Development for Westar Capital. Rob also spent sixteen years with various senior debt companies, including Marine Midland Business Credit and US Bancorp.
SVP/Head of Asset-Based Lending
Gary Reagan joined Pacific Mercantile Bank to lead Asset-Based Lending in April 2017. Gary has 25+ years of banking experience. In his most recent role at Comerica Bank, Gary held the position of SVP, Regional Managing Director, with responsibility for the Southern California market, served by offices in Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego. Earlier in his career, Gary was VP, Relationship Manager for Silicon Valley Bank, first in Palo Alto and later in Irvine.
Head of Renewable Energy
Scott Reising joined Pacific Mercantile Bank in September 2016 to lead the Solar & Renewable Energy Lending Group. Scott previously served as Senior Vice President and Group Head of the Renewable Resources Group (RRG) at Bridge Bank, a division of Western Alliance Bank. Prior to joining Bridge Bank, Scott worked for a number of large European banks in the renewable energy space, large infrastructure, and other water and energy transactions.

Jim Roby came to Pacific Mercantile Bank to lead SBA Lending in October 2017. Jim has proven expertise in SBA sales, loan production and an in-depth knowledge of the Small Business Administration’s standard operating procedures. Most recently, Jim was SVP, National Sales Manager at Spectrum Commercial Lending. Prior to that, he was SVP, Managing Director of SBA at Gilmore Bank. Jim finds great satisfaction in providing technical assistance for growing companies in navigating the difficult road of finance.

Cindy Verity has over 25 years of experience in treasury products and service, and most recently led a global treasury sales team at Silicon Valley Bank. She is versatile and highly successful in servicing, selling, developing and managing treasury products. Cindy’s goal is to enhance our clients’ overall banking experience and provide the banking services to help them thrive.
EVP / Corporate Finance
Tom Wagner served as Manager of the Bank's Northern Division when he joined Pacific Mercantile Bank in 2013, and is now EVP / Corporate Finance. During Tom's tenure with the Bank, he has led the commercial banking team's Horizon Analytics® practice and helped develop strategies, approaches and products to better serve the Bank's target customers and further differentiate Pacific Mercantile Bank from competitors. Tom was retired during 2012. Prior to joining the Bank in 2013 Tom served in a variety of capacities with Silicon Valley Bank from 1999 through 2011, finally as the Head of Corporate Banking.
